Venture Global LNG Hires Scott Kicker as Senior Vice President of Development

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Venture Global LNG, Inc. has hired Scott Kicker as Senior Vice President of Development. Mr. Kicker, a former officer and President of AES Asia for The AES Corporation, will be based at the firm’s headquarters in Washington, D.C.

In a joint statement, Co-CEOs Mike Sabel and Bob Pender stated, Scott Kicker has overseen the construction of more than 8,000 MW of electric generation capacity and project financings involving in excess of $8 billion. Scott’s extensive background in project development and execution makes him an ideal addition to a world-class team of professionals who will execute our strategy to become the lowest cost provider of North American LNG.”

Mr. Kicker has over 23 years of experience in project development, finance, construction and operations in the power sector in the United States, Asia, Europe and Latin America.

Venture Global LNG is developing both the 10 MTPA Venture Global Calcasieu Pass facility on an approximately 1,000-acre site located at the intersection of the Calcasieu Ship Channel and the Gulf of Mexico near Cameron, Louisiana, and the 20 MTPA Venture Global Plaquemines LNG facility in Plaquemines Parish, Louisiana on an approximately 630-acre site at river mile marker 55 on the Mississippi River, located 30 miles south of New Orleans, Louisiana.


Mr. Kicker will be Senior Vice President of Development based in Washington, D.C.  He most recently served as Vice President of AES and President of AES Asia, managing AES’s operations in the Philippines, Vietnam, India, Singapore and Sri Lanka.   Prior to serving as President of AES Asia, Mr. Kicker held various other senior positions in AES, including Vice President of Engineering and Construction, Vice President of Business Development for Latin America and Director of Restructuring.
